Beschreibung

Daisuki wurde 2013 von den Firmen Asatsu-DK, Toei Animation, Aniplex, Sunrise, TMS Entertainment, Nihon Ad Systems und Dentsu als Joint-Venture gegründet und ging im Mai 2013 nahezu weltweit als Streaming-Dienst ins Netz. Sowohl die Auswahl der Serien als auch die angebotenen Untertitel unterscheiden sich je nach Land ‒ viele Titel werden zudem nur befristet angeboten.

2014 gründeten Bandai Namco Holding Inc., Asatsu-DK Inc. und Aniplex Inc. daraus Anime Consortium Japan Inc.

Im August 2015 wurden Kodansha, Shueisha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa, Bushiroad Inc. und Good Smile Company als weitere Investoren bekanntgegeben.

Seit August 2016 bietet Daisuki in den USA ein Premium-Abo an, das auch ältere, zuvor nicht in den USA erschienene Titel umfasst.

Zum 31. März 2017 erhöhte Bandai Namco Holding Inc. seinen Anteil an Anime Consortium Japan Inc. von 36,1 % auf 100 %. Dabei wurde das Unternehmen in ein Tochterunternehmen von Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. umgewandelt.

Am. 1 August 2017 wurde bekanntgegeben, dass der reguläre Streaming-Dienst Daisuki auf den 31. Oktober 2017 eingestellt wird. Lediglich »Dragon Ball Super« wurde noch bis Februar 2018 fortgesetzt.

Das Mutterunternehmen gab am 13. Februar 2018 bekannt, dass Anime Consortium Japan Inc. durch Schwesterunternehmen Bandai Namco Rights Marketing Inc. absorbiert wird. Die Integration und Auflösung der bisherigen Firmenstruktur wurde am 20. März desselben Jahres vollzogen.
Daisuki was founded in 2013 by the companies Asatsu-DK, Toei Animation, Aniplex, Sunrise, TMS Entertainment, Nihon Ad Systems and Dentsu as a joint venture and went online in May 2013 as a streaming service almost worldwide. Both the selection of series and the subtitles offered differ depending on the country – many titles are also only offered for a limited time.

In 2014, Bandai Namco Holding Inc, Asatsu-DK Inc. and Aniplex Inc. founded Anime Consortium Japan Inc. from this.

In August 2015, Kodansha, Shueisha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa, Bushiroad Inc. and Good Smile Company were announced as additional investors.

Since August 2016, Daisuki has offered a premium subscription in the US, including older titles previously not published in the US.

As of the 31st March 2017, Bandai Namco Holding Inc. increased its stake in Anime Consortium Japan Inc. from 36.1% to 100%. In doing so, the company was converted into a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings Inc.

On the 1st August 2017, it was announced that the regular streaming service Daisuki would be discontinued on the 31st October 2017. Only “Dragon Ball Super” continued until February 2018.

The parent company announced on the 13th February 2018 that Anime Consortium Japan Inc. would be absorbed by the sister company Bandai Namco Rights Marketing Inc. The integration and dissolution of the previous company structure was completed on the 20th March of the same year.
