When I close my eyes, I can hear the sound of he waves and see the deep shade oft the sea. I was filled with the scent of a summer I couldn’t see the end of. Amid those hollow days, I met that girl with eyes like the ocean.

That girl who met you the first time, she’s not coming back anymore!! How do you expect me to just smile like before—

Not a single thing I’ve done is for your sake. Everything I’ve done is just for me alone. There’s no way that we could ever be friends.

It doesn’t matter to me at all whether your body looks beautiful or hideous. The only thing that matters is that you’re you.

To mingle with humans. To be tied to this world. Those are both things I don’t really understand.

Everything before me. Humans. Animals. Each and every one of them. To me, they are all the same. Nothing but lumps of flesh.

You could try for a thousand years and you’d never understand how I feel. You wouldn’t know what it feels like to throw away your status. Or what it feels like to lose the power you spent hundreds of years building. Or what it feels like to have humans you care about.
