G-mode Co., Ltd.

G-mode Co., Ltd. ist ein japanisches IT-Unternehmen, welches am 14. Juni 2006 gegründet wurde. Der Hauptsitz befindet sich im Bezirk Shinagawa der Stadt Tokio.

Zurzeit ist das Unternehmen ein Tochterunternehmen von Marvelous.

Das Unternehmen ist in verschiedenen Bereichen tätig, vor allem jedoch in den folgenden: Produktion, Entwicklung und Veröffentlichung von Spieleseiten für Mobile-Games, Lizenzmanagement von Spiellizenzen von Spielfirmen, welche Bankrott gegangen sind, Verwaltung von Zugängen von Mobile-Games wie zum Beispiel SNS Mixi, GREE, etc. Ebenso entwickelt das Unternehmen die Programme, welche bei Anime-Veröffentlichungen von AIC beiliegen.

Ebenso betrieb das Unternehmen zwischen September 2012 und April 2013 die beiden Web-Comic-Portale COMIC Meteor und COMIC Polaris, welche anschließend zum Unternehmen Aplix Corporation transferiert wurden.

Ursprünglich wurde das Unternehmen als Joint-Stock-Unternehmen in Ikebukuro, Tokyo gegründet. Im Mai 2008 erfolgte die Umbenennung in One-UP Co., Ltd. (ONE-UP株式会社). Im Oktober 2011 wurde der Hauptsitz nach Ginza verlegt und im Dezember desselben Jahres One-Up Asia Holdings Pte Ltd. gegründet. Im Februar 2013 erfolgte die Eröffnung eines Studios in Taiwan. Im März 2014 erfolgte die Fusion mit dem alten Unternehmen G-Mode und Namenswechsel zu G-mode Co., Ltd.

Im Jahr 2015 wurde das Unternehmen von Marvelous aufgekauft und in ein Tochterunternehmen umgewandelt, dabei verlegte das Unternehmen seinen Sitz nach Shinagawa.

Das alte G-mode-Unternehmen wurde im Juli 2000 von Takumi Takami gegründet. Im Jahr 2001 starte das Unternehmen die Veröffentlichung von Mobile Games über NTT Docomo, J-Phone Group und der KDDI-Gruppe. Im Dezember 2007 wurden die Finanz- und Business-Verbindungen mit dem japanischen Unternehmen Gung Ho Online Entertainment getrennt. Später, im Mai 2009 erfolgten Business- und Finanztätigkeiten mit Aplix Corporation. Im darauf­folgenden Jahr wurde das Unternehmen von Aplix Corporation aufgekauft und in ein Tochterunternehmen umgewandelt. Im Dezember 2011 erfolgte eine Umstrukturierung an der Börse und das Tochterunternehmen wurde zum Mutterkonzern GAIA Holdings Corp. transferiert. Im April 2013 entschied sich das Mutterunternehmen, sich in Aplix IP Holdings Corporation umzubenennen.

Die große Umstrukturierung erfolgte im Jahr 2014, als im Januar Aplix IP Holdings alle seine Anteile an G-mode an das Unternehmen One-UP verkaufte. Bis im März 2014 war das Unternehmen somit ein Tochterunternehmen von One-UP, bis die beiden im März 2014 miteinander verschmolzen und One-UP den Namen G-mode annahm.
